Michael Weiss is a partner at Lerner & Weiss with over 15 years of experience in all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts. He represents clients whose interests cover a broad range of commercial disputes including business torts and contract disputes, creditors’ rights, insurance coverage and premium disputes, products liability, and real estate litigation.

Beyond his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Weiss appears in front of insurance regulatory boards and commissions, as well as state and quasi-governmental hearing boards representing the interests of national and multi-national insurance companies. Issues raised at these hearings involve various types of auditable premium policies, and specifically pertain to premium disputes related to audits, underwriting, classification, experience modification factors, retrospective premium calculations, dividend calculations as well as premium financing.

Well respected in his field, Mr. Weiss has been a speaker on the issue of insurance premium audit and litigation issues for clients at employee education seminars, as well as for members of the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors (NSIPA).
