Michael Weiss | Attorney at Law

Michael Weiss

“I didn’t invent the rainy day, I just have the best umbrella.”
~ Crow & Bryce, 2000

Viewing each case as a puzzle, I thrive in fitting the pieces together to create the desired result in pursuing and achieving a client’s goals. Having been in practice since 1983, my experience in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, and in front of state legislative boards, I am able to provide each client with sage advice, guidance, and recommendations that are most beneficial to each client’s case. As a member of Lerner & Weiss, I take great pride in representing our client’s needs through this straightforward and forthright approach.

Well respected in my field, I represent clients whose interests span a broad range of commercial disputes involving business torts and contract disputes, employment law claims, creditors’ rights, insurance coverage and premium disputes, product liability, third-party subrogation rights, and real estate litigation.

My experience with transactional matters includes negotiating and reviewing contracts involving commercial aerospace entities and foreign manufacturers, real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases and construction contracts, and numerous business contract and formation documents. By taking the approach of an “ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure” and making sure that the agreements into which my clients enter have had any holes plugged during the negation and drafting process, I am able to make sure my clients’ interests are secured, and the potential for litigation is minimized.

My practice areas also include extensive experience representing promotion and marketing firms in the drafting of rules for sweepstakes and contracts for radio and social media promotional campaigns.

My experience and success have also resulted in being requested as a speaker on the issue of insurance premium audit and litigation issues for clients at employee education seminars, as well as for members of the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors (NSIPA).
